Can it really go in the washing machine?
Yes, but first remove the cord with the controller. It detaches. Then let the pad air-dry and only use it again when it is completely dry.
Does it get hot enough?
The highest setting is clearly warm, comparable to a well-filled hot-water bottle. Most people use a middle setting in practice.
Is this a medical device?
No. It is a heating pad for comfort. If you have persistent symptoms, see a GP or physiotherapist.
Can I use it on my lap while working?
You can. The cord is long enough to work from a socket on the sofa or at a desk.
